Time to reflect on 2019

12 December 2019
As I did at the end of last year, I’ve been using the last few weeks to reflect on 2019 and to make plans for 2020.
I said this last year (and will probably say it every year) but the year has flown past, it honestly feels like September was last week. But when I look back, it’s been another year full of achievements.
I’ve worked with a great bunch of clients, helping them with their research programmes throughout 2019.
I’m continuing to work with the start-up, their product is getting stronger by the month, and 2020 will see the launch.
2019 was definitely the year for old contacts to get back in touch – I’ve worked with 3 people each of whom I’d not worked with for at least 5 years, in one case it was 13 years!!
I’m keeping the same objective for 2020 as I had for 2019, I’m going to ensure that my client workload continues to remain varied.
My aim for 2019 was to blog consistently. I was aiming for 12 over the year, this is my 11th – so I’ll take that as a success. Thank you Helen for your amazing proof reading skills https://www.resultsdepartment.com/
I’ve added to my portfolio of professional photos, I love my website photography but also needed something a little more “corporate” – check out my LinkedIn profile to see the result. Thank you https://maxgiorgeschi.com/
I’ve worked with the fabulous Emma at www.extravismarketing.co.uk to help me with my digital marketing, we’ve made great progress and will continue to work together in 2020.
I’ve continued to regularly attend networking events, by the end of the year I’ll have been to 27 events – a little short of last year’s 31 but not far off. 2020 will be the year that I’m more consistent in finding the time to have one-to-one meetings to follow up with people I meet and to find out more about their businesses.
I’ll be taking a complete rest over Christmas and I’m looking forward to returning refreshed on Monday 6 January. Let’s see what the 20s have in store ….
Wishing you a very happy Christmas, with love and best wishes for 2020.
