The challenge
A company with multiple locations across the UK had recently experienced a restructure, employee retention was low and customers complaints were high. Previous employee wellbeing projects had been conducted by internal departments but response rates were low.
The solution
A company wide employee engagement research project was conducted, completely outsourced to ACE. This meant that employees were confident that their responses would remain anonymous, all communications came from ACE rather than HR or their manager. Individuals were asked to complete a short online questionnaire, with the option to follow up with a more detailed face to face conversation.
The results
Response rates increased from around 40% to 88% meaning that results were much more reliable. Results indicated that 2 locations were out of line with other parts of the company, the data ensured that specific problems could be addressed. ACE continues to work on the annual employee engagement project, and year on year improvements are seen.
